Maryhurst celebrates Black History Month 2024

Whether it was a school assembly full of moving performances, an educational contest testing our knowledge of local Black history, or an awesome gallery of student artwork, Maryhurst staff and clients had awesome opportunities throughout February to observe Black History month.

Thank you to the Maryhurst Academy Team (shout out to school counselor, Ms. Mac!) for bringing an awesome roster of speakers and performers to the school (including Robin G, Rochelle Owsley, Justis Loftis, and Dr. Tytianna Ringstaff) to the Support Team's art therapists for working with staff and kids to create pieces for the gallery, and the DEI@Maryhurst Leadership Team for sourcing Black-owned businesses to support via the gallery and the quiz prize gift cards.
