Site Coordinator for Services to Older Youth
(Foster Care and Mentoring)
Assist in the on-going development of the foster care program, mentoring services for older youth, and life skills development for older youth. Develop additional recruitment methods to for foster care. Recruit therapeutic foster parents for special needs children with a special emphasis in serving older youth. Develop a Mentoring Program that matches older youth with adult role models in the community, including developing resource materials to guide the mentor process, developing a formalized training program for mentors, collaborating with other private child care agencies that have mentoring programs. Assist in enhancing the agency’s formal Aftercare Program. Assist in facilitating and expanding the existing life skills training for older youth. Volunteer will report to the Director of Foster Care. Volunteer will receive all the VISTA benefits and valuable skills development.
