Congrats, Support Team!

We love our Support Team at Maryhurst. They lead and coordinate the arts & recreational programs at Maryhurst that center on creative expression and self-esteem. Their projects give kids an opportunity to explore their lived experiences in a positive, safe and insightful way. At its best, the art therapy program helps advance each kiddo’s treatment and motivates them to tell their stories – both through a reflection on the past and a vision toward the future.

The Support Team manages partnerships with many of Louisville’s creative enterprises: from Girls Rock Louisville to Nerd Louisville, the Louisville Ballet, and Rhythm Science Sound.

One of the team’s most significant partnerships is with ArtsReach, a division of Kentucky Performing Arts that nurtures and develops diverse artists and audiences, engages youth, and creates community through the arts.

Artsreach recently recognized the Maryhurst team at their Keepers of the Dream event, honoring them as leaders in arts education with a social purpose.

We’re grateful for the recognition and promise to continue our efforts to help young people grow bolder and more confident in their voice.
