Holiday hopes, achieved

Whether it’s kids in our programs opening gifts on Christmas morning or our staff celebrating at our annual appreciation event, there’s always something happening at Maryhurst in December.

Every year, Maryhurst is faced with a heartbreaking and motivating challenge: to make the season special for children who have never had the chance to experience the holidays in their young lives. Our staff makes a tremendous effort to bring all the trappings of the holiday season to the kids and families in our programs.

Longtime donors will know that a big part of our work in December centers on tapping our community to come together and fulfill holiday gift wishes for each and every child in our programs. Taking our foster care, community-based counseling, and residential programs into account, that means gift collection for more than 250 kids each year.

This year the holiday gift drive was a huge success thanks to all of you! Check out this clip of us on WKLY on our biggest collection day.

As you might imagine, our staff work especially hard to make the holidays special, which is why we’re so grateful to the Treasury team at Texas Roadhouse HQ, who for many years have planned, catered, and provided gifts for a staff appreciation event in December. This year’s TXRH Party was another one to remember! Check out some pics of our (very joyous) staff below:
