June 2020 COVID-19 Update

The Coronavirus pandemic has quickly affected nearly every aspect of daily life. Since March, Maryhurst has been acting quickly and carefully to follow the most up-to-date public health guidance as we prioritize the health of our staff and clients.

In May, we had several staff and clients test positive for COVID-19. It was an upsetting and concerning moment, and we brought in local health experts (from both the public and private sectors) to provide customized guidance as we sought to contain any spread. Our initial announcement and call for support is below:

As of the week of June 22, we are happy to announce that there are no longer any active cases of COVID-19 among staff or clients in any Maryhurst program, and that everyone who tested positive has made a full recovery. We know the threat of the virus isn’t over, and we’re continuing all of our safety precautions that are limiting the threat of exposure for everyone living and working in our facilities.

Thank you for your many donations throughout this season. It’s a marathon — not a sprint — and we appreciate your continued support of our mission. You can always find our most up-to-date list of needs here.
