We’re fortunate to receive an influx of giving around the holidays, as we rely on the generosity of local individuals, corporations and organizations to raise more than $2 million annually. There are many ways to give to Maryhurst, each of them impacting lives in distinct and enduring ways.
Legacy Gifts
This year, our friends Michael and Marilyn Gauss supplemented their annual year-end gift with a planned legacy gift that ensures that Maryhurst will stand together with kids and families in Kentucky for years to come.
Maryhurst offers numerous ways for families to leave a legacy of hope that will help the children we serve in significant ways, including bequests, life income gifts and beneficiary designations. If you’d like to learn more and follow the Gauss family’s generous example, please visit this site or contact David Short.
Community Fundraising
Our friend George Stevens has an important job at Maryhurst. As Director of Facilities, he makes sure our buildings and surrounding areas are kept safe and functional.
But he also does so much more. For the second year in a row, George has rallied his colleagues in Louisville International Facility Management Association (IFMA) to raise $1,000 for Maryhurst.
Corporate Giving and In-kind Support
Westport Road Baptist Church and Aperture Credentialling LLC offered a great example of in-kind support this December, supplying dinner, desserts, stockings, and presents at the annual holiday dinner for children in our residential program!
In addition, the community-minded staff of Dawn Foods visited our campus this month to drop off in-kind and financial gifts that are especially appreciated during the holiday season.
